Kent Douglas won the Eddie Shore Award as Outstanding Defenseman in the AHL in 1962.
The following season, Douglas went on to win the Calder Trophy as Rookie of the Year in the NHL.
He was a First Team All Star in 1962.
A valued member of Springfield's three consecutive Calder Cup champions in 1960-1962.
